Project Creation Process
Project creation is one of the first require steps as teams/workstreams onboard to the JFrog Platform. This will require help from the Platform Admins, which is currently obtained via ServiceNow.
Admin Security Group
You will need a Security Group to designate which people should be the project admins.
- If you already have a Security group representing who should administrate your JFrog project, you can use that group here.
- Or else, go to iam.ford.com and under
Security Groups
, click onCreate a new SG
to get a new Security Group created.
Request Project Creation
Request a JFrog Artifactory Project to be created by going to Service Now Support. Fill out the fields as described in the image and text below and click on Submit

- Tips: start type in "jfrog" to populate the Jfrog Application of your issue
Please add the following to the ticket description:
A Project name. The project name should be descriptive and human-readable e.g., Dev Tools & Enablement
A Description of the Project. What is the purpose of your project?
A Project key. The Project Key is added as a prefix to resources created within a Project. This field is mandatory and supports only 2 - 32 lowercase alphanumeric characters. Must begin with a letter. Example: dtande
A Security Group that contains the CDSIDs for those who will administer access, roles, and the creation and deletion of repositories.
Logging In
Once your request is processed, login to JFrog by visiting https://jfrog.ford.com and use the SAML SSO button on the bottom as shown in the picture
Project Administration View
At this time, you should be able to login to the JFrog Platform and select your project from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. Once selected, "Administration" option should show up, allowing you to navigate to the Administration menu for your project.
