Overview of the Supplier Instance

A separate instance for supplier activites is available at the following url: https://supplier.artifacts.ford.com. This instance is exempt from certain security settings that are in place on the primary SaaS instance(s), allowing suppliers to utilize it for their own development purposes. This instance is intended to support the tighter integration between Ford and its suppliers, providing a secure environment for managing dependencies and artifacts that are specific to supplier relationships.

Purpose

The Supplier instance is designed to facilitate the management of dependencies, artifacts, and workflows that are specific to supplier relationships. It provides security and access controls, to enable secure collaboration between Ford and its suppliers. This instance is not intended for general development purposes.

Accessing the Supplier Instance

To access the Supplier instance, users must navigate to the URL: https://supplier.artifacts.ford.com. This instance does not exclude non-Ford managed devices, and is intended for use by Ford suppliers and their designated personnel.

Sharing artifacts with the Supplier Instance

To share artifacts with the Supplier instance, users can utilize the standard JFrog Artifactory features for repository management and sharing. The primary method of sharing data between the Supplier instance and the primary Ford instance utilizes the Federated repository type within the JFrog Platform. This allows for the synchronization of artifacts between the two instances, enabling seamless collaboration and access to shared resources.
